This is a teaser showcasing some of the great shots and clips from the Story & Storyteller documentary that I co-produced for the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The documentary highlights stories from the park's history and relates them to artifacts housed in the park's archives. The completed project is still used as an onboarding tool for all new employees of the park.
The Next Movement, is a graduation feature series that I collaborated on at the Natalie L. Haslam College of Music. Our communications team features graduating students in an article and video that are released prior to graduation. In addition to all of my video and photography work on this project, I recreated and animated The Next Movement graphic our communications team made in Adobe After Effects.
The is a project I produced at the Natalie L. Haslam College of Music for their percussion ensemble. The ensemble was selected to perform at the Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference. I was able to interview students and faculty for the project. I also got the opportunity to capture a few creative shots of one of their performances.
This reveal video was created in just a few days, and it served as the announcement of the Pride of the Southland Band's new drum major. Filming the interviews required some careful timing and secrecy, due to the the student not having been publicly announced as the drum major. I was especially proud of the animations I created in Adobe After Effects for the beginning of the video and for the student names during the reveal. The "turning on the light" effect was very effective for the actual reveal midway through the video.
This was a video I produced with my students at Lumos Media Services in the Office of Student Media at UT. This video was used to promote a novel written by a UT history professor about the Red Dead Redemption games. You can read more about my involvement in the books greater marketing campaign here.
The Tennessee Cello Workshop is a multi-day cello festival hosted annually by the UT College of Music. In my role as Multimedia Manager, I shot and edited the following video so that the college could promote the festival each year. I also set up all of the lighting for the interviews in the video.
This is a project that I shot and edited for the UT College of Music's Wind Ensemble. The ensemble debuted this video at the CBDNA conference prior to their first performance at the conference in the university's history. I set up all of the lighting in the auditorium for the student interviews, shot, and edited the entire video.
In 2023, I had the opportunity to photograph and create a video of the legendary Saxsquatch. This concert took place in November of 2023 at Brick Yard & Grill in Knoxville.
For this project, I collaborated with the College of Music's marketing team and the Grammy-award-winning quintet Akropolis to produce this video. The project was used to showcase the college's newly created artist residency series.
I currently collaborate with Bellavision Videography to produce wedding videos. For this project, I was a second shooter and helped to capture all of the special moments for this couple's big day.
This was a project I animated for the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, during my time at the Office of Student Media. I created all of the animations in Adobe Premiere Pro using simple keyframes.
This was a feature story I produced for the Daily Beacon when I was a student at the University of Tennessee. I got the opportunity to interview Daily Beacon alumni John Jackson Miller. Miller is known for his Star Wars and Star Trek novels.
This teaser showcases the first shoot I helped to coordinate with our student media team after establishing our grant with the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The final project will explain how the Cable Mill in Cades Cove operates. I lead a team of 6 student videographers for the project.
I helped students at the Daily Beacon to film and edit this feature story. I helped to set up the interviews with the students and filmed things when necessary. This was a great introduction to news packages for their digital team.
This was a project I helped to film and edit for UT Student Success during my time as the Technology Coordinator at the Office of Student Media. I made the animations in Premiere Pro. I also took all of the photos featured in the video.
This interview with Randy Boyd was filmed live in front of a UT engineering class in Spring of 2024. For this project, I helped students set up all of the cameras and took photos for our client. The video will be used alongside a series of other videos we produced to create a class called Pathways to Success. The videos will serve as the backbone of the class structure.
